Wild Ones' Summer Tour | Three Bloomington Gardens
9:00 to 11:30 am
Meet at 5013 Overlook Circle, Bloomington, MN
(we will continue to other two gardens afterward)
The
beauty of a wildlife garden is seen not only in the plants growing
there, but also in the creatures it attracts. That’s the primary goal of
this garden. Enjoy the butterflies, bees and dragonflies, amphibians
and birds that regularly visit. You might spot a tiger swallowtail
nectaring at Joe Pye weed, or a hummingbird zipping around the monarda.
Perhaps
you’ll find a monarch caterpillar munching on milkweed or see a
goldfinch perched on a cup plant. Browse some before and after photos to
see the journey that we’ve taken over the years, from a yard full of
invasive plants, to a suburban oasis for wildlife that humans can enjoy
too.
