Tuesday, June 18
Nokomis Naturescape Wild Ones Summer Tuesdays at Lake Nokomis Meet at the Nokomis Naturescape from 6 pm –8 pm. Julia Vanatta will lead her Historic Nokomis Naturescape Walking Tour at 6pm, sharing a bit about changes to the landscape since early settlement as we see what's blooming. Afterwards we’ll get our hands dirty with garden weeding and planting. The evening will be topped off with a lakeside sunset. A lovely way to contribute to the beauty of the park. Located on Lake Nokomis at 5001 East Nokomis Parkway, Minneapolis 55417

Saturday, June 22
"Ask A Master Gardener Day" at Welna II Hardware, with experts from Wild Ones Twin Cities for questions about gardening with native plants.
Free root beer floats in store.

JULY
Picnic and Tour at the Sanders' Residence - JULY 14th ~ 11 am - 1 pm
Rick and Sherry Sanders have invited us to tour and picnic at their 2 acre property with 550' of lakeshore restoration and a large rain garden professionally maintained by Natural Shore Technologies. Good company and beautiful landscape provided - BYO food, beverage, blanket or chairs. 

Blaine Preserve - Thursday, July 25th 6:30 - 8:30pm  
For those of you who attended Michael Lynch's lecture "Botanical Wanderings" you will be excited to have the opportunity to tour one of his favorite sites during the official dedication of the Blaine Nature Preserve. There will be a 1/2 hr ceremony, followed by site tours, and stewardship activity (knapweed pull and/or buckthorn removal).
