September Festivals in Minneapolis and Bloomington

Minneapolis Monarch Festival

Saturday September 9, 2023 | 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

Nokomis Community Center

(park area near intersection of Woodlawn and Minnehaha Parkway)

Visit Wild Ones Twin Cities in the Habitat Tent at Minneapolis Monarch Festival. Our organization has been a part of this very successful festival from the beginning 15 years ago. Also, under the canopy is the Nokomis Naturescape, Grow Monarch Habitat (with WOTC winter sowing info and free milkweed seeds), Jumping Worm Education, Re-Wild Native Gardens, the Prairie Plant Root Pull activity, WOTC Flower Faces photo Op, and Soft Landings plant display.

Be prepared for lots of happy people of all ages and back grounds, with many dressed as butterflies! (you too, can come as a butterfly or a caterpillar or….).
